To Arran
Train: Departing from Glasgow Central the train takes just under one hour and meets the ferry in both directions. See the First Scotrail web site for ticket and timetable information.
Ferry: The ferry to get to Arran is run by Caledonian MacBrayne and sails from Ardrossan, a small town approximately 40 miles south-west of Glasgow. The ferry journey from Ardrossan to Brodick (on Arran) will take 55 minutes. There is also a summer ferry route from Claonaig to Lochranza. Car: Take the A737 from junction 29 of the M8 to the west of Glasgow. Follow the A737 to Dalry then the B780 to Ardrossan, finally joining up with the A78 in Ardrossan. There is a secure car park at Ardrossan Harbour.
Plane: Prestwick International Airport is within easy reach of Ardrossan Harbour by taxi, hire car or train. Please visit their web site
To Hazelwood Farm
Car: If you have hired or brought your car head north out of Brodick on the main road then turn left on to the B880 (known locally as "the string"). Then take turn right onto the Machrie Moor road and right again, northwards along the coastal road to Imachar. We are the first house at the top of the brae.
Bus: Stagecoach operate services around the coastal road in both directions. The buses run to coincide with the ferry. Take bus number 324 round the north end of the island to Imachar. Please see the Stagecoach web site for timetables and prices (route 324 Brodick to Imachar).
